Jeffrey Brown is the Managing Director of the Energy Futures Finance Forum.

Jeff is the Managing Director of the Energy Futures Finance Forum, a multi-year project to make critical decarbonization projects more investable. As an Adjunct Professor at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, he has taught graduate-level courses on clean energy finance since 2015.

In 2016 he co-founded B2E2 LLC, consulting to environmental NGOs (e.g., Carbon Capture Coalition, CATF, OGCI, EDF ) and commercial clients on carbon capture and tropical rainforest preservation. Jeff was formerly Senior Vice President—Finance & Corporate Strategy at Summit Power, a Seattle-based clean energy development firm. Prior to working as a power developer, Jeff retired as a Managing Director from Merrill Lynch in 2009 with 26 years of experience in energy and infrastructure project finance, debt capital markets, and financial/commodity derivatives while at Goldman Sachs and Merrill. Jeff began his career as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Congressman James Weaver of Oregon.
