Duke University’s The Chronicle covered Ernest J. Moniz’s keynote speech at the school’s third annual “From Billions to Trillions” summit. Moniz shared his thoughts on the financing gaps most prevalent in clean energy, emphasizing how difficult it can be to secure funding in the stages between startup and major project. “It’s really hard to get the $20 to $50 million check,” said Moniz, “a million is easier, and a billion is easier.”
