Akhila Mullapudi is a Research Analyst at the EFI Foundation.


Prior to joining the EFI Foundation, Mullapudi was a fellow with Business Executives for National Security, where she supported projects related to national defense and supply chains. Mullapudi also interned as an analyst with the U.S. Government Accountability Office in the natural resources and environment portfolio and worked as a budget analyst intern with the U.S. Army through the Department of Defense Acquisition Internship Program, where she conducted financial, regulatory, and analytical work on acquisition strategies and resource management. Mullapudi’s professional background includes roles such as peer advisor at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy and as a research assistant in the Fastest Path to Zero Initiative with the University of Michigan’s Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences program, where she contributed to studies on climate change perceptions and nuclear energy.

Mullapudi graduated from the University of Michigan, with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a concentration in technology innovation and regulatory policy and minors in user experience design and business administration.
