Lizi Bowen is Deputy Director of Communications at the EFI Foundation.

Bowen previously was associate director at the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center (GEC), where she oversaw the GEC’s email marketing, social media channels, and webpages, reaching thousands of stakeholders and global energy and climate experts. She also supported the development and execution of high-profile international events including the Atlantic Council’s flagship event – the Global Energy Forum – held annually in the United Arab Emirates.

Prior to joining the Council, Bowen worked for the Pan American Development Foundation where she worked closely with a team throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to implement and design an organization-wide branding strategy. She also worked at the National Democratic Institute and Consortium for Electoral and Political Process Strengthening where she was responsible for implementing communications efforts and content on a global scale.

Bowen holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and global studies from the University of New Haven, with a focus on Latin American studies and a minor in graphic design. She is a certified digital marketing professional from the Digital Marketing Institute and a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society.
